Welcome to the fund "Metis"

The children’s charitable fund, METIS, was founded in 1998. How has this organization developed over the years and what has it achieved?

All METIS-supported children receive assistance from the fund. More than three hundred families and children receive much needed aid in the form of food, clothing, and shoes. There are also sponsors for children requiring medical aid.

In recognition of our work, METIS has been awarded tax exempt status, approved by Moscow mayor, Yuri Luzhkov. METIS provides assistance to family members dealing with unemployment and job-training. Many children live either with their mothers or grandmothers or are brought up in orphanages.

The children's fathers either cannot be located or, if found, cannot or do not wish to support their children, often because of new marriages and other extenuating circumstances.
